Volunteer OpportunitiesAdopt-A-Highway. We cover an area south of town near the UNM-Taos turnoff. The next clean-up party will be scheduled in the spring, most likely the end of April. Contact: Shaddon Ross at 737-9030 or wysaross@gmail.com. Foster Care Children Support. CYFD reports 36 children currently in foster care in Taos County. Emergency needs are baby wipes, socks (all sizes), pampers, baby shampoo sets and underwear (all sizes). Please bring your donations to the church and Shaddon will deliver them. Contact: Shaddon Ross at 737-9030 or wysaross@gmail.com. Taos Men's Shelter. It's a full house these cold winter nights! Please consider a commitment to providing a meal one day of each month, or to joining the substitute list. Ongoing needs include napkins, toilet tissue, razors and other personal items. For more details and to sign up contact Margaret Walters at 751-3428 or mwalters@cymermesa.com. Shared Table. Food is distributed each month at the Ranchos Presbyterian Church to those in need. Look for the box in the social hall with the sign "Donations to the Shared Table by the Unitarian Congregation of Taos ." We support this community outreach program through our food donations.
