The Unitarian Congregation of Taos

The Unitarian Congregation of Taos is an ethical and liberal religious community dedicated to promoting the ongoing search for truth and to affirming the inherent worth of the individual.

We welcome all who find our emphasis on personal religious integrity and commitment meaningful. We meet in community the first and third Sunday mornings of each month, and occasionally on a fifth Sunday.

Annual Congregation Meeting--Sunday, February 5th at 11:00am

This Sunday we will be conducting our annual congregational meeting. A number of important items will be included--

Annual Report (highlights from the previous year)

Budget (review of income and expenses from 2011; review of proposed budget for 2012)

Adoption of Slate of Officers and Board Members for 2012

The next segment of the meeting--and in many ways the most important--will be a facilitated discussion of the future direction of the Unitarian Congregation of Taos. The Board of Directors will be assisted by Angela Merkert who will also be presenting the Sunday service. Angela has many years of experience serving as a consultant to UU congregations around the US and in November worked with the Board in a 1-day long range planning workshop.

It is very important that as we plan for 2012 and beyond that we begin to build a shared vision for our religious community. What's important to you as a friend or member of the congregation? What kinds of services, ministerial engagement, classes, community involvement would you support and find most enriching?

Your ideas are extremely important to us, please plan to attend on the 5th. A simple lunch will be provided.
