Welcome! We are so glad you are here! The Unitarian Congregation of Taos![]() The mission of the Unitarian Congregation of Taos is to serve families and individuals as an inclusive, compassionate, liberal spiritual community; a beacon of progressive enlightenment; and a call to service. We welcome all who find our emphasis on personal religious integrity and commitment meaningful. We meet in community the first and third Sunday mornings of each month, and on fifth Sundays when they occur. On May 20th, Michael Adams will speak on "I Don't Like Your Motives... well, not the motives I've decided you have!"Why my spouse is out to punish me, why liberals are lazy and think someone else should pay for them and why conservatives are selfish and greedy! Motives are hard to pin down, but we ascribe them to others anyway and assume we are right... but perhaps we are often wrong! Michael Adams is a father of three, a husband and has been a UU since his early teen years. Self described as a Spiritual Atheist, Mike tries to temper his opinions with humility, which he admits is often difficult. Mike has taught RE for youth and led an adult RE class, has served as member of the committee on ministry, served on the social justice committee and delivered numerous sermons in Santa Fe and Los Alamos. We also have Special Music on May 20th.Our special music will be provided by Jessica Arrillaga, songwriter and singer who accompanies herself on guitar. She will sing her own composition, "Nahal's Crossing," and also two other songs not of her composition, "I Ain't Got No Blues" and "Easy Silence." She will talk a little bit about the composition process. Our ServicesPlease join us on the first and third Sunday mornings of each month for services at 11:00 a.m. Check the Newcomers page for additional information you may find helpful.
